A Live Inquiry Lab: More Questions Than Answers
Do you find yourself rushing toward answers?
Defaulting to “What’s the right decision?”
Trying to solve something before you’ve really sat with it?
Most of us were trained to value answers. School rewarded them. Work often demands them. Life can make them feel urgent.
But sometimes the shift doesn’t come from finding the answer; it comes from staying with the question.
You don’t need answers to begin.
What This Is
This is a live, 60-minute virtual workshop.
An hour to slow down.
An hour to write by hand.
An hour to practice asking better questions — not to solve them, but to expand them.
We start with a simple question-writing exercise. And the point isn’t to find the biggest question; the one that sounds impressive or wise. It’s about permission. Permission to ask what’s actually there.
Tiny questions count. Silly questions count. The ones that are distracting you. The ones you are afraid to ask out loud. They all count.
No judgement. No pressure to solve anything. Just space to notice what rises when you stop trying to get it right.
From there, we’ll gently explore what makes a question feel expansive rather than restrictive — and how asking a different kind of question can quietly change the direction of your thinking.
There are no breakout rooms.
No hot seats.
No advice giving.
Just a shared hour of reflection, writing, and curiosity.
What You Might Leave With
A question you hadn’t let yourself ask.
A softer grip on urgency.
A sharper sense of what you’re actually curious about.
Perhaps even a small shift in how you approach a decision, a habit, or a story you’ve been telling yourself.
Who This Is For
This is for you if:
You journal (or wish you did).
You think a lot.
You feel mentally busy.
You’re tired of chasing the “right” answer.
You want to build self-trust through better questions.
You don’t need a dramatic life dilemma. Small questions are welcome too.
About Me
I’m Safiya Robinson. I am a writer… storylistener… sunset watcher…
I write about the questions that shape my thinking — about money, minimalism, work, identity, and everything in between — and through them, I’m able to question the narratives that shape my life.
Over the past few years, I’ve realised that inquiry can change behaviour long before clarity arrives.
This workshop is free because I’m building a community of people who are willing to live inside better questions.
When you register, you’ll join my mailing list and receive weekly musings through Substack, as well as prompts to continue the practice, and be the first to find out about future events.
